FIRST LADY CARLA NELSON

First Lady Carla R. Nelson is a native of Camden, New Jersey. She was raised in a Christian home by her endeared Grandmother, Victoria Thomas. Her Grandmother knew the power of prayer and having a relationship with the Lord, which she imparted to her beloved Granddaughter, Lady Carla. Early, Lady Carla committed her life to Christ and was baptized into the body of Christ at the AME Church.

Her testimony is:
I am a part of the fellowship of the unashamed. I have the Holy Spirit power. My decision is made. I will not look back, letup, slow down, back away or be still. My past is redeemed, my present makes sense and my future is secure. I am a child of the King. I must serve until He comes. And, when He comes for His own, He will have no problems recognizing me - My banner will be clear, Servant of the most High: Jesus Christ.

Lady Carla furthered her education at Community College of Philadelphia and Rutgers University respectively.

Lady Carla believes that everything that has breath ought to "Praise the Lord!" Lead by the Holy Spirit, she united with the Union Baptist Temple under the leadership of Reverend Albert Morgan. It was at Union that she continued to grow in the fear of admonition of the Lord as an avid participant of the Women's Fellowship Ministry, Couples Ministry and Minister's Wives Fellowship.

Lady Carla is the faithful wife of Reverend David M. Nelson, and they are the proud parents of three children. Lady Carla knows the importance of seeking first the Kingdom of God, and His righteousness and all those things that He has will come in due season.
